Usually a tranny removal is 4-5 hours. I did mine on my 5 speed 300zx TT in August and it took about 5 hours, cut that damn EGR pipe to lower manifold, plugged it, and put everything back together again. It's actually pretty easy if you have the right tools, (lots of extensions, sockets, tranny jack, jacks and jack stands) That's my two cents. If you can do it yourself you'll save soo much money.
